Cards of Hope
Peninsula Post-Acute
Event Date: Jan 11 – Jan 31
Contact: Samantha Cole, scole@sutrobio.com
Peninsula Post-Acute is located in Burlingame, California next to Mills-Peninsula Medical Center. Region’s premier skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation center. Their team of highly skilled, dedicated, and caring clinicians looks forward to continuing the tradition of delivering unsurpassed quality care to everyone who enters our door.
Often the transition to a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is challenging. At Peninsula Post-Acute, they strive to ease the process by providing an environment where residents and guests feel informed and comfortable. They will do our best to ensure their residents have everything they need for a quick recovery.
In addition, nurses and staff members, are always available to answer questions and lend a hand, each resident is paired with a coordinator to help ease the transition and provide a familiar smiling face.
Please donate your handmade cards to bring a smile to a senior citizen’s face during the new year.
Making Cards:
What supplies do I need?
The only supplies you need are paper and a writing utensil, such as crayons, markers etc.
Many people choose to use other craft supplies such as:
- Special Markers
- Stickers
- Glue-on craft decals
- Other craft supplies
Decide what to write on the card: We recommend that you write uplifting messages such as:
- Stay strong
- Get Well
- Never forget how amazing YOU are
- I hope you have a great day today
- You shine brighter than the sun
- You inspire me
- Be Brave
- I believe in YOU
- Happy Holidays
Please drop off your creatively designed cards in any of our labeled bins located in our Cell Free Cafe in Oyster Point or the Break Room in San Carlos by EOD Monday, Jan 31st
