Senior Vice President, Business Development

Lucas Donigian, M.B.A., has served as Senior Vice President, Business Development of Sutro since September 2026, bringing more than 20 years of biotechnology industry experience in business development, corporate strategy, and alliance management.

Prior to joining Sutro, Lucas served as Vice President, Head of Business Development and Licensing and Commercial at Zymeworks, where he led the end-to-end execution of Zymeworks’ licensing agreement with Jazz Pharmaceuticals for zanidatamab. Previously, he was Director, Business Development and Biopharma Collaboration at NanoString Technologies, where he led the company’s companion diagnostic partnering efforts, executing high-value partnerships with several leading pharmaceutical companies as well as the divestiture of the nCounter diagnostics business to Veracyte. Earlier in his career he worked as a Senior Research Associate in cancer biology at OncoMed Pharmaceuticals.

Lucas holds an M.B.A. from the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and a B.S. in Molecular Biology from San Jose State University.
